Budapest, 5 September 2010- The final day of the Ferrari Racing Days in Budapest featured two rounds of racing in the European and Italian series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. In addition there were free practice sessions for the four Ferrari FXX cars, the fourteen 599XX and the fifteen historic single-seaters run by the F1 Clienti Department of Maranello. One of the highlights of the event was the appearance of Scuderia Ferrari's driver, Felipe Massa, who drove a few laps of the track at the wheel of a Ferrari California and then thrilled the large crowds in the grandstands with a demonstration run in an F60, the car with which Scuderia Ferrari contested the 2009 season. There was also some non-racing track activity, as many Ferrari owners were able to get behind the wheel of their own cars as part of the special “Emozioni in pista” programme.

Victory in Race 2 of the European Trofeo Pirelli went to Philipp Baron (Baron Service) ahead of Alexey Vasiliev (Ferrari Moscow) and Robert Pergl (Scuderia Praha). As for the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) took the win, crossing the line ahead of Tibor Valint (Warm Up) and Wido Roessler (Baron Service). In the afternoon race counting towards the Italian series, Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) had the measure of the field, beating Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) and RiccardoRagazzi (Ineco/MP) into second and third respectively. Coming out on top in the Coppa Shell was Flavio Pierleoni (Motor/Malucelli) with Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) second and Massimo Mantovani (Motor/Malucelli).

Race 1 of the Italian series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli will be broadcast tonight at 20.00 on Sky Sport 2 and Sunday 5 September at 14.45 on Sky Sport 3. It will also be repeated on Monday 6 at 9.30 on Sky Sport 2, Wednesday 8 at 14.00 on Sky Sport 2 and Thursday 9 at 16.30 on Sky Sport 3.

Race 2 will be broadcast on Sunday at 21.30 on Sky Sport 2, Tuesday 7 at 9.30 on Sky Sport 2, Wednesday 8 at 15.00 on Sky Sport 2 and Thursday 9 at 17.30 on Sky Sport 3 and at 22.00 on Sky Sport 2.

The next round of the European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli takes place in France at the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit (Le Castellet), over the weekend of 19 September, while the Italian series of the one-make championship is back in action at the Pietro Taruffi Circuit, Vallelunga on 10 October.

Baron and Gai on top in the first races in Budapest

Budapest, 4 September 2010- The Ferrari Racing Days got underway today at the Hungaroring circuit, where the F430s entered in the European and Italian championships of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli took to the track for the second round of qualifying and the first of two rounds of races scheduled for this weekend. Also on track, fifteen historic single-seaters, run by the F1 Clienti department, four Ferrari FXX and fourteen 599XX cars, tackling some untimed sessions. On Sunday, Felipe Massa, the Scuderia Ferrari driver will be the guest of honour, greeting Prancing Horse fans from the wheel of an F2008, while today Marc Gené, the Maranello Scuderia’s official test driver, is coaching the drivers taking part in the F1 Clienti programme.

In qualifying for competitors in the European series, Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm) set the quickest time ahead of Philipp Baron (Baron Service) and Alexey Vasiliev (Ferrari Moscow), while Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) was quickest among the gentleman in the Coppa Shell, outpacing Tibor Valint (Warm Up) and Wido Roessler (Baron Service). In the Italian series, Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) will start Race 2 from pole position, outperforming Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) and Lorenzo Casè (Motor/Piacenza). Fastest lap among the Coppa Shell drivers went to Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) who outpaced Flavio Pierleoni (Motor/Malucelli) and Vincenzo Sauto (Ineco/MP).

Racing got underway this afternoon, with the first event for the European Trofeo Pirelli, dominated by Philipp Baron (Baron Service) who took victory in Race 1, ahead of Robert Pergl (Scuderia Praha) and Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli). Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) was first past the flag in the Coppa Shell to stand on the top step of the podium, with Wido Roessler (Baron Service) and Tibor Valint (Warm Up) alongside him in second and third spots. In Race 1 of the Italian series, the win went to Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa) in a spectacular race, held in the rain, in which he got the better of Quinto Stefana (Rossocorsa) and Giorgio Sernagiotto.

For the Coppa Shell competitors, Enrich Prinoth (Ineco/MP) came out on top, crossing the line ahead of Flavio Pierleoni (Motor/Malucelli) and Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza).

Grossman and Sernagiotto quickest in Budapest in Friday qualifying

Budapest, 3 September 2010- The first round of qualifying in this weekend’s Ferrari Racing Days event at the Hungaroring circuit has ended today. In action on the Magyar track were the F430s competing in the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, who tackle two rounds of races over Saturday and Sunday.

The first to tackle qualifying, to decide the grid for Saturday’s Race 1, were those taking part in the European series and coming out on top in the fight for pole position was Bjorn Grossman (Autohaus Gohm) beating Alexey Vasiliev (Ferrari Moscow) and Philipp Baron (Baron Service). Fastest lap among the Coppa Shell drivers went to Tibor Valint (Warm Up) who outpaced Alexsandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) and Wido Roessler (Baron Service.) The half hour for the Italian series was very closelt contested, with Giorgio Sernagiotto (Motor/Piacenza) coming out on top, beating Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) and Stefano Gai (Rossocorsa), while among the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, Andrea Rizzoli (Motor/Piacenza) was quickest, beating Flavio Pierleoni (Motor/Malucelli) and Massimo Mantovani (Motor/Malucelli.)

The busy programme for the “XX Programmes” started with some untimed sessions for the four Ferrari FXX and fourteen 599XX cars. The fifteen historic single-seaters also got their first taste of the Magyar track, run by the F1 Clienti department and on Saturday, their drivers will be able to avail themselves of advice from Marc Gené, tutoring the F1 owners over the course of the Ferrari Racing Days.

Tomorrow features the final two qualifying sessions for the Italian and European series and the first two races. Also on track will be Alvaro Barba, who races in the Spanish GT Open Championship in the AF Corse F430 GT2 car. In Hungary, he will be driving the Safety Car, a Ferrari 458 Italia. Great excitement in anticipation of the arrival of Felipe Massa, the guest of honour on Sunday, who will salute the Prancing Horse fans from the wheel of an F2008 Formula 1 car.

Maranello, 31 August – This coming weekend, the Magyar Hungaroring circuit will be the backdrop to the third Ferrari Racing Days of the season. The event features the fifth rounds of the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and will also see on track, the Ferrari cars involved in the non-competitive programmes run by the Maranello Corse Clienti Department. Alongside the F430 Challenge cars competing in a double bill of practice and races, fifteen historic single-seaters run by the F1 Clienti department will take to the track, as well as four Ferrari FXX and fourteen 599XX, taking part in some free practice sessions.

Special guest at the event on the Sunday, will be Felipe Massa, the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro race driver, who comes to Budapest to greet the Prancing Horse fans from the wheel of an F2008. On Saturday, the Maranello team’s official test driver, Marc Gené will be in attendance as a coach to the drivers taking part in the F1 Clienti programmes. The event gets underway on Friday 3 September, with testing and free practice, while Saturday features two qualifying sessions and the first races, ending on Sunday with the second leg for the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell categories, competing together in two races, but with separate classifications.

Going into the much awaited meeting, Andrea Belluzzi (Motor/Modena) from San Marino, leads the Italian Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli on 94 points, while the young Motor/Piacenza driver, Andrea Rizzoli heads the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell on 82 points. In the European series of the one-make championship, Austria’s Philipp Baron (Baron Service) heads the Trofeo Pirelli classification on 106 points, while England’s Oliver Morley of the Motor/Malucelli team, tops the Coppa Shell standings with 66 points.
