Valencia, 18 July - The second Ferrari Racing Days, following on from the one held at Mugello on 4 July, has just ended at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, in Cheste, Valencia. Over the weekend, the F430s entered in the European series of the Ferrari one-make championship took to the same track which later this year will host the World Finals. Special guest today was the Scuderia’s test driver, Marc Gené, who did a few laps at the wheel of an F60 run by the F1 Clienti department of Maranello. Also in action at this packed event were three of the Ferrari FXX and no less than eleven 599 XX, which took to the track for some untimed sessions in the hands of their owners, taking part in the eponymous programme. Free Laps with over thirty Ferrari owners trying their hand on track in their own cars, as part of the special “Emozioni in pista” programme.

In Race 1 of the Trofeo Pirelli, victory went to Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm) who crossed the line ahead of Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) and Philipp Baron (Baron Service). Giovanni Zonzini (Motor/Malucelli) won the first race for the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, getting the better of Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) and Stephane Clareton (Stradale Automobile).

The afternoon race ended with Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm) again on the top of the podium, with Philipp Baron (Baron Service) and Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) joining him in second and third places respectively, while Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) dominated the Coppa Shell, beating Dirk Adamsky (Autohaus Saggio) and Wido Roessler (Baron Service).

The next round for competitors in the European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli takes place at the Hungaroring, over the weekend of 5 September, where the European competitors will race alongside the Italian series of the one-make championship, as part of the next Ferrari Racing Days.

Valencia, 17 July 2010 –The second Ferrari Racing Days of the year got underway today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Cheste, Valencia, with qualifying sessions for the F430s entered in the fourth round of the European Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, ahead of two races tomorrow. The packed programme also featured some untimed sessions on this spectacular track for three Ferrari FXX and no less than eleven 599XX, from the eponymous series, being driven by their owners. Other non-competitive action included track time for over thirty Ferrari owners who were able to test themselves at the wheel of their cars in the special “Emozioni in pista” programme.

The fight for pole position in the first qualifying session for the Trofeo Pirelli was won by Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm). Lining up alongside the German on the front row for Race 1 will be Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) while third place on the grid went to Massimo Mantovani (Motor/Malucelli).

In the Coppa Shell Stephane Clareton (Stradale Automobile) stopped the clocks in the quickest time, finishing in fourth place overall, followed by Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) and Giovanni Zonzini (Motor/Malucelli), second and third among the gentleman drivers. The second qualifying to decide the grid for Race 2 saw once again Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm) dominate the session, ahead of Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) and Philipp Baron (Baron Service). Fastest of the Coppa Shell drivers was Aleksandr Skryabin (Ferrari Moscow) who was seventh overall, followed by Dirk Adamsky (Autohaus Saggio) and Stephane Clareton (Stradale Automobile).

Tomorrow’s programme features two races, each lasting 40 minutes, starting at 10.40 and 15.30, with both categories taking part in the same race, but with different classifications. Also enlivening the programme tomorrow will be the appearance of an F60, the car with which Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro contested last year’s Formula 1 World Championship, now run by the F1 Clienti department of Maranello and driven by test driver Marc Gené.

Maranello, 13 July – This weekend, the Ricardo Tormo di Cheste circuit at Valencia, hosts the second round of the Ferrari Racing Days, featuring the F430s entered in the fourth round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, three Ferrari FXX cars and no less than twelve 599 XX cars driven by their owners involved in the eponymous programme consisting of a few sessions of untimed laps.

The event gets underway on Saturday, with free practice and qualifying, prior to two races on Sunday, when competitors in the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell will race together but with separate classifications. Going into this round, the European Trofeo Pirelli classification is headed by Austria’s Philipp Baron on 83 points, followed by Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) on 63 and Germany’s Bjorn Grossmann (Autohaus Gohm) on 62. Among the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, it is England’s Oliver Morely (Motor/Malucelli) who has pulled out a 16 point lead over Marco Galassi (Motor/Malucelli) with 18 in hand over the Hungarian, Tibor Valint (Warm Up.) Also making an appearance on track will be an F60, the car with which Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro contested last year’s Formula 1 World Championship, now run by the F1 Clienti Department of Maranello, with test driver Marc Gene at the wheel.
